Even more exhibitors and participants than last year and the top players in the real estate industry all in one place: the 21st “ Expo Real“ from 8th to 10th October 2018 in Munich once again broke records. And right in the middle of it, the TPA Group together with the international Baker Tilly Network, to which it has belonged since 2016.
Real estate markets’ performance strongest since 2007
It was announced at Expo Real that, in the first six months of 2018, the global real estate markets performed their strongest since 2007. The fact that the branch is doing well is also reflected in the events at this year’s fair. The buzzing real estate market again attracted project developers, investors, consultants and planners in droves to the renowned, international trade fair.
2,095 international companies, cities and regions from 41 countries exhibited, whereas last year there were 2,003. This year Austria ranked among the top ten exhibiting countries. Almost 45,000 participants from 72 countries were represented – an increase of 6.6%. This makes Expo Real the largest B2B trade fair in Europe.
For the top real estate experts at TPA, this is, as every year, a must-attend date, and representatives from 11 countries within the TPA Group were on site to offer advice. They were joined in addition by numerous consultants from Baker Tilly in Germany and further 9 countries within the Baker Tilly Network: the USA, the United Arab Emirates, the UK, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
Focus on Market Development and Digitisation
This year, at the well-frequented TPA and Baker Tilly booth, the focus was predominantly on topics such as the implementation of complex real estate projects. In addition, the limelight was on current lucrative and upcoming asset categories, and also on the expected price trends on the residential and office property market. However, there was also a great deal of discussion on digital products and services.
The real estate expert and TPA Partner, Karin Fuhrmann, is convinced that “The topic of digitisation continues to remain at the very top of the branch’s agenda“. According to the real estate expert, “However structural changes caused by demographic change and the utilisation of areas are also challenges, which we are actively facing“.
Again this year a tasting of exclusive Bründlmayer wines at the TPA / Baker Tilly booth made for a sociable conclusion to the successful presence at the fair.
